Mouth (2018) Illustrations for a poem by Em Strang.
Mouth, an Anthology of illustrated poetry was launched at the 2018 Falmouth Illustration Forum and published by Atlantic Press. Fifteen illustrators whose practices entwine with poetry were invited to contribute pieces in response to Mouth, the forum’s theme. Mouth showcases the relationship between their writing and visual practices; between illustration and poetry.
Special guest poets Em Strang, Alyson Hallett and Hannah Levene submitted pieces to be visually interpreted in an illustrative partnership.
The resulting work sits excitingly in the space between poetry and illustration, and continues the conversations of the forum around practice and ideas that speak to Mouth.
